The location was convenient for visiting Kansas City Stadium, and it was also easy to get to the hotel from the airport thanks to the free shuttle bus that stops nearby. As you would expect from a Marriott, the hotel was nice overall. Although I didn't dine there, the restaurant looked inviting, and having a Starbucks in the lobby was a nice touch. It was a comfortable place to relax. My biggest disappointment was that I was given a different room type from the one I had booked. There was no explanation or apology from the front desk, which left me with a poor impression of the service. Overall, the hotel itself was good, but because of the room issue and the way it was handled, I don't think I would choose to stay here again.

The hotel definitely needs better management and supervision. I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this Marriott location. When we arrived, the cleanliness of our room was unacceptable. There was hair throughout the bathroom and cookie crumbs on top of the bed. I called the front desk to report the issue, but the staff member was unable to assist me, and I waited approximately 20 minutes to speak with a supervisor. When the supervisor, Teresa, finally answered, I was even more disappointed with the way the situation was handled. There was no introduction, no apology, and very little professionalism. I was simply told that she would speak with housekeeping and have someone come clean the room when they were available. After waiting that long to speak with a supervisor about an unclean room, I expected at least an apology and some concern about the condition in which the room was given to us. To make matters worse, the pool was closed for the entire week, and we were never informed before our stay. The pool was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, especially considering the high amount we paid per night. Had we known it would be unavailable, we likely would have chosen another hotel. I have stayed at other Marriott locations and had excellent experiences, so I know this is not representative of every Marriott property. However, this particular location was extremely disappointing, especially regarding cleanliness, communication, and customer service.
