"This is definite faded grandeur. The ground floor looks and feels beautiful but the rest of the hotel is tatty - not helped by a lack of cleaning In some of the common parts. Staff were slightly taciturn, but we went out of season and they might have been busy doing other things. The location though is fantastic and, crucially, there is a good breakfast! This hotel could be so much better with some love. As it is, it is over priced."

"I had a really pleasant stay here. The place was very clean, and having hot water at all times made everything more comfortable. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which made it easy to unwind. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and overall it truly felt like being at home. I would definitely visit again."

"The hotel was unresponsive. We didn’t receive any information up front, and upon arrival, the cleaning staff let us in. While she was very kind, we didn’t receive any of the information about the room (like where we could find the A/C remote, wifi password etc). "
