"For Expedia review of the Rainbow Paradise hotel: The rainbow paradise hotel is a beach front property which is a major plus. However, we face two major disappointments! 1. "It was a really nice stay exactly as we hoped for! The location on the beach was beautiful and the villa had all the comforts of home. Was conveniently located within short car ride to Georgetown. Also the bag of ice in the freezer for drinks was a nice touch!"

Great family hotel on the beach

"It was our annual family getaway and Mercure Penang Beach ticked off most of the checkboxes except a few! The room was great with a fantastic view of the sea. A nice pool and the beach just in front was wonderful. However, we faced few issues with service. On the first day after the check-in, they seemed to have misplaced our luggage. It took a couple of hours and multiple calls to the front desk to finally get our luggages in the room.Also the housekeeping could be a bit more thorough as both the shampoo and the toilet paper were out in the bathroom and we had to call the front desk to get replacement."

A great hotel!

"A great hotel! Friendly and welcoming staff, excellent facilities including rooftop pool and gym. Breakfast was very varied and plenty of it! It was great location for us just 4 minutes from the beach and some decent walks along the sea. Grab cabs were frequent and regular for the trips into George Town old district and very reasonable! I would stay there again and recommend it!"
