"We stopped here while doing the ring road. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Our room overlooked the water and we could see sheep out the window. It was very quiet. Breakfast was included, and it was a good assortment of food. We had dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed our meal. The employees were all friendly. We had absolutely no problem and highly recommend this place! "

"Kálfafellsstaður Guesthouse is a quaint, quiet B&B about 20 minutes NE of Diamond Beach. The property is clean and picturesque. Thora's breakfast was delicious and diverse. There's a sweet church next door and a cemetery that produced some lovely photos. She has a no shoes inside policy. No problem, but I would have brought slippers if I'd known. The room is small and it is a shared bathroom, but when we really needed to go and another guest was in there, Thora said we could use another one downstairs. The only other downside was not the property itself. It is a long way from restaurants and they close early compared to the U.S. Even the 24-hour gas station stores were closed. So if you stay here, I'd bring some energy bars or frozen dinners and put them in the downstairs fridge just in case you can't find a place that's open. It actually might not be a bad thing if she sold something like that for people who weren't about to pick up dinner. Overall a lovely place to stay. I would definitely stay there again if I have an opportunity to go back to Iceland."

"This place is absolutely charming. The rooms have everything you need without any bustling of traditional hotels. We were in one of a cluster of mini houses but it felt like a private place on the bay. We were there in spring and the baby sheep hanging around our back window was a fun bonus.Breakfast is not included, but add it! Amazing spread for the price. And dinner was delicious too. And the staff was wonderful and as friendly as we have ever experienced on a trip. Super easy access to the beach, glacier, and hiking. "

"This hostel exceeded expectations! We LOVED it, we never usually stay in hostels but wanted to save some money on our Iceland trip and stumbled across this accomodation!! It is clean and friendly staff. The room is nice and cosy , with windows to ventilate. The kitchen is really well equipped and spacious. We highly recommend this place !!! "
