"The hotel is great, once you get past the hard sell timeshare sales people at the front desk. Perfect location and beautiful grounds. Unit has been kept relatively up to date, minus the tub, which had a broken seal on the drain. This is my second stay at the property, 15 years apart."

"Vintage Hawaiian charm and hospitality. Some renovation work taking place in the Lagoon Tower which had no impact on our stay. I hope they don’t price out the budget travelers by going upscale. Our room was clean, comfortable. Partial ocean view was much better than expected. The view and dining experience at Don the Beachcombers was superb. Hotel staff was friendly and professional. I’ve stayed here before and return for the value and Hawaiian ambience sadly missing from some of the other resorts in the area. "

"This property was well past my expectations in a good way. Very peaceful and welcoming. You can walk to the shopping center and other beach front resorts with ease. Be prepared to have some type of vehicle whether it’s car, scooter, electric bike etc since most of the attractions are far from this location. "
