"The property is well located and connected to South Delhi offices and markets. However property needs investment in upgrade as is now a decaying infrastructure and does not look that welcoming as it used to be. The staff however is still friendly and helpful to the extent possible"

"I stumbled upon Thikana on a Gemini search and decided to give it a try for a recent week long stay. It was a FABULOUS EXPERIENCE. Atul is a fantastic host. The rooms are clean, well maintained and perfect. They have 2 guys around all the time catering to any need for a quick coffee or a chai and serve up amazing breakfast in the mornings. I tried the Vegetarian dinner sets on a couple of days and it was awesome. Ideally located in an affluent neighborhood and easy access to Uber and other transportation, makes this is a great choice. Thank you Atul for those evening chats and your recommendations on all things local, I am definitely coming back on the next available opportunity. "

"The neighborhood is walkable, which is a tough find for an Indian city. It was even walkable from the metro station. The room was very good other than the fact that I had no view whatsoever. The translucent windows opened out to a back alley staircase. The hotel diner and housekeeping were very good."

"I'd have given it 4 or 5 stars except for one very bad experience which is causing me to give a poor rating. It has to do with laundry I had put out of my room one morning. A staff person (who was delivering newspapers) grabbed it out of my hands. But I never received it that evening. I called the front desk, but they did not return my call and did not know. Next morning, the same staff person who had picked the laundry bag said he does not remember anything. Different staff people kept asking me what was in the laundry bag. I told them. Eventually, it turned out the hotel had misplaced it. I did get it the next evening. This negative review is because of what happened after that- There was a piece that did not belong to me. I called the front desk around 10.30 p.m. to let them know and I was told they will send someone. No one came. But my phone rang for 4 or 5 times around 12:30 a.m. when I was asleep. When I complained to the front desk next morning that the call was too late and that I was asleep, the response was that it was just a little late. I was told the call had to do with laundry. The hotel thinks calling a guest for non-emergency situations after midnight is fine."
