"Everything was great, great vibe and friendly staff"

"Nice hotel in Village area approx 6 miles south of Grand Canyon. Close to several restaurants we were appalled that they extorted $25 from us if we wanted to check into our room before 4 pm. I travel a huge amount both domestically and in foreign countries, but I have never had any hotel demand that I pay them an exorbitant upcharge in order to check into my room sometime after 2 pm but before 4 pm. I told the registration clerk this and she said that it was a common practice. I then asked how many hotels were in this company's chain, and she responded "just this one,". I forked over the extra $25 after paying the very high room price, but I said I was paying under duress. By 4 pm that afternoon, they had a huge line of customers waiting to try to check in. Stupid requirement!"

"I loved the location. I wish we would have had a balcony to sit outside and enjoy the trees and stars. Some rooms had outdoor seating but ours did not."

"The hotel was clean and the staff were great. Just know that it’s an older building that has seen a lot of wear. Still an excellent stay!"

"Beautiful area. Maintenance was great. View is incredible for sunset. Front desk people did not have very good service skills. JT the shuttle driver was amazing. Not much for food service, airstream grill is cute and Mesa Grill a short walk away was excellent. Only maintenance issue was cloudy swimming pool. "
