Easy 6 minute walk from ferry. Incredible value for off season rate in late March that included an multi course , visually beautiful Japanese Kaiseki dinner and breakfast made of thebfreshest, delicious ingredients and served by a delightful diningroom staff. We were the only Western tourists there, but the reception staff know enough English to graciously assist you. They were kind enough to check us in 45 minutes early on a rainy day, without an extra fee. The onsen attendants didn't speak English and were a little flustered when we showed up to bathe at 8:25am (it closes at 9:00am) She tried to discourage us from entering, doubting that you will be done in time, but we pantomimed that we understood and would be done well before 9:00am. Unfortunately we had a very noisy family with children next door to us who didn't quiet down until 10pm. Futons in the room are thin, so we stacked them two and three high. Room had lovely water view. Easy access to the 3km path along the bay for wonderful birdwatching, feral kitties and lava geological features.

The room is spacious with the ocean view. The staff are very nice and helpful. The onsen is big but a bit old and unclean. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

優しく教えてほしかった

仕事疲れを癒したくて温泉を楽しみにしていきました。ところが、浴場の入口でスリッパを脱ぎ損ねて、スタッフさんから大きな声で注意されました。その場にいたお客さんたちが振り向いて恥ずかしかったです。よく見ればスリッパを脱ぐようにと、小さな立て看板が。もっとわかりやすくしてほしいです。それが難しければ、せめて優しく教えて欲しいと思いました。受付やレストランなど、他のスタッフさんは親切で気持ちよく過ごせました。温泉だけ台無しでした。

温泉、お食事、お部屋、全て最高でした

チェックインが22時少し回ってしまいましたが快くご対応頂きました。 夜も朝もマグマ温泉は空いておりゆっくりできました。 朝食は九州の、鹿児島の物をたくさん使ったお料理でとても素敵でした。美味しかったです。 バスの事で質問したのですがご丁寧にお調べ頂き嬉しかったです。 冷蔵庫のお水もありがたかったです。 またここに泊まりたい。と思いました。 ありがとうございます。
