"The room was nice and the breakfast was ok. The only complaint was the iron in the room was old, did not heat up and leaked water all over my blouse, I called the front desk and a replacement was bought to the room emediatly. "
"It was absolutely disgusting. Half the hotel was torn apart. There was exposed insulation and wires. At one point during the night saw a mouse run across the room. The bathtub was still dirty. Some ceiling tiles were missing. I feel like this property should be shut down and completely torn down. It is NOT safe!"
"Older motel: tiny bathroom, cover missing on baseboard heater in the bathroom, lights pretty dim but decent beds, fluffy towels and plenty of hot water, parking right outside the door. Excellent value, pleasant staff, that also runs a cat rescue - we met some very sweet kitties as we were checking out."
"A perfect place to stay. Very reasonable price, very clean property and pleasant check in.
My three major criteria for room evaluation are 1) quality of bed and pillows 2) excellent TV with a good variety of channels and 3) a great shower in the morning - enough hot water, enough pressure and perfect temperature. Score! Score! and Score!
Bonus: parking is right outside your door.
This property doesn't offer amenities that other properties do and you save money accordingly. My next time in Marshall, I will be staying there again."
"I want to be fair about my experience. I did find a bed bug in my room. Fortunately it was on the top cover, but it was still concerning.
To their credit, the staff responded quickly and immediately moved me to another room. I had clothes laid out after my shower, and the attendant put them directly into the dryer on high heat to make sure they were safe, which I appreciated.
Even after changing rooms, it was difficult to relax or get good rest knowing there had been a bed bug. Because of the cleanliness concern, this is not a place I would personally choose to stay again. I would be willing to drive a little farther to stay at a property with stronger ratings.
If cleanliness is a top priority for you, that is something to consider when choosing this location."
