Very regular 24 hr shuttle which is great. The staff allowed me to check out at 12 which was nice as I have a late flight. Comfortable bed, nice arm chair and fridge in room. Very good breakfast.

Airport shuttle is reliable and frequent. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Our room had an issue with the floor around the air conditioner, but other than that, we had a pleasant stay. The breakfast is always fantastic.

The Southern Sun O. R. Tambo Hotel was a home away from home for us. We stayed there one day at the beginning of our trip to South Africa and for three days at the end. The hotel staff did everything they could to make us feel welcome. The hotel is very clean and well-appointed. The breakfast is amazing! And the restaurant was excellent for lunch and dinner as well. The best thing about the hotel was the staff -- they helped us with every request with a smile, whether it was large or small. I would definitely stay there again.

Southern Sun is my hotel of choice whenever I travel to South Africa and have enjoyed my stays always. However on my last stay in Johannesburg, my room had no complimentary water for a person checking in tired at night and they were not answering their room service phone, I had to beg for water in the morning. Secondly, I think it’s high time the 90’s TVs get upgrades because it’s hard to engage with entertainment for a luxury hotel. Other than that, breakfast is stellar.
