Hotel Stay

This hotel has alot of potential but has been neglected...we had a few maintenance issues and the rooms have not been updated...as someone working in the industry i understand how badly covid has affected companies... The staff make this hotel amazing....every single staff member that i dealt with from reservations to front desk to housekeeping to the porters to the general attendant in the parking are friendly and enthusiastic and go out of their way to assist with the problems we had.....staff were quick and efficient with help....i would give them a 10 out of 10

I didn't like how the gentleman behind the front desk kept trying to charge me more money for my stay at the hotel. He insisted that I owed an additional one thousand five hundred South African Rand. He tried it once when I first arrived at check in. Then again when I was checking out. I explained to him that I booked my entire trip online via Expedia.com and I didn't understand what the extra charge was for. The entire process took several long minutes and caused me to waste additional time at the front desk. However, after playing around with his computer for what seemed like twenty minutes each time. He finally realized that it was his mistake and allowed me to leave. I've never experienced this type of treatment before in my life. What's the point of paying in full online to then be told later on that you owe additional money because your total payment was insufficient??

The spirit of Mapungubwe!

We had a good stay and the room was clean . The service was prompt and efficient. We would definitely come back . One thing that we struggled with was parking bays....it was hard for me to drive in and out but everything else absolutely wonderful.

I loved every time I spent at premier hotel although they couldn’t get my phone connected to the WiFi 😂😂😂but the last of everything was on point I enjoyed 😉 myself and I felt like 👍 I was at home 🏡 cause our room was a studio so we could cook 👨‍🍳 our own food 🥘 it was lovely ☺️

STUFFY, SMELLY CARPER IN ROOM

Inspected the room it was stuffy and the carpets from oassage to inside the room were smelling and room was stuffy and not a good atmosphere, I took my family and left right away and booked at City Lodge few kilometres away. Compared to the Priemer Hotel Bloemfontein this was a direct oposite of the the Bloemfontein one which is why I chose Mapungubwe at got dissapointed.

we were warned about the area of town, but never felt uncomfortable ourselves, although we didn't go out at night. uber is very easy to use all around the city, so that's how we mostly got around. the hotel itself was nice. huge rooms since it used to be apartments, nice restaurant. i only felt that the bathroom in the room had a few things lacking (old hardware that was loose and very limited towel service), but overall, we thought our stay was wonderful for the price.

Badly located, area is as flithy as it comes.

Rooms are okay, the bathroom is extremely small. In a terrible neighborhood in Johannesburg. Crack heads and drug addicted people all over the downtown core. Filthy neighborhood. The hotel Staff are very nice though.

bad beyond bad

the parking is bad not enough space to move in and out of parking because of polls,the booking was for two people but was given one set of towels, i requested twice for two sets of towels and always was given one.on the second night i was given a towel that had blood on it,when requesting a new towel that one to had yellow marks on it.the kitchen had a tea set only ,no spoons ,plats no bowls ...nothing and to make it worse the aircon don't work.we had to open windows.
