Worst experience of my life Had to last minute find alternative accommodation that cost me almost double cos it was so bad that we couldn't stay Will never ever go there again Used tissue being cabinet in photo as a cherry on the cake!

The staff was friendly and the property looks like it was once gorgeous but it is rundown and needs a facelift. Shower tiles falling off and cutting out feet, mold and mildew in the shower, floors dirty and sheets questionable clean? Wouldn’t book again unless work was done. Disappointed in the facilities. Bedframe upholstery was torn furniture wa old and the pool wasn’t clean. Breakfast was good but overall I would not recommend. Did not have water due to construction and hotel did not make that known. Had to leave and get another hotel

Not a hotel to stay in Johannesburg

We stayed for one night and it was the worst place on our entire trip. The apartment/suite we got was spacious but everything was dirty and dusty. There were ants crawling around and the place was not cleaned properly. The cushions on the sofas looked like someone just used it. There was hair in the shower and on the bedding along with stains. Outside everything was dusty and it was clear that because it was low season they weren’t maintaining it, in which case they shouldn’t rent it out. For breakfast they didn’t have tea or coffee as the machine was broken. We asked for some napkins to wipe the dust on the chairs and the table and they didn’t have that either. All together it was a terrible experience and the pictures in hotels.com are misleading.

Könnte ein schönes Hotel sein, ist aber ungepflegt

Das Hotel könnte schön sein. Wir haben uns aber leider überhaupt nicht wohl gefühlt. Unser Zimmer (Executive-Suite, 2 Schlafzimmer, Gartenblick) war sehr gross und geräumig. Aber leider wird nicht gereinigt und auch sonst nicht zu dieser Unterkunft geschaut: - die Sofas waren so schmudelig, dass sich niemand drauf setzen wollte - am Boden fanden wir Essensreste von unseren Vorgängern - die Bettlaken waren an den Enden gerissen - beim Check-in war kurz jemand vor Ort; als wir die Probleme mit dem Zimmer melden wollten, war bereits niemand mehr da - beim Check-out war ebenfalls niemand vor Ort - das Morgenessen war extrem dürftig (z.B. nur Toast-Brot) Wir können diese Unterkunft definitiv nicht empfehlen und werden auch selber nie mehr hier buchen. Eigentlich schade, denn von aussen sieht die Unterkunft sehr schön aus.

Only one towel each provided. Soap container used by many before us. Towel rail broken. No coffee provided, only many packets of sugar. Poolside furniture not clean. Definitely not 4 star!

We enjoyed our stay. Checking in was a breeze.. The pool is refreshing and clean. One staff member refused to help me with carrying a chair. Said her leg is painful... Staff members need to give guests some sort of privacy, they sat and watched us swim and passed comments it was uncomfortable. The room is nice and big. We really enjoyed our stay... Will be returning for sure

Great Stay

Loved our stay here. We were grateful to be given a free upgrade to the exec suite which was huge and very comfortable. Staff are very friendly and kind. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. Location is good, breakfast was great. Overall well worth the price in my opinion.

Comfortable bed

I spend one night there and the room was spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. I had one of the best ormlet for breakfast, it was really good.

Lovely big room and opened up onto a lovely pool and garden area . Very peaceful and quite and with easy distance of centre of Johannesburg

NÃO É UM HOTEL

Ficamos apenas uma noite nesse hotel. Ficamos muitas vezes em hotéis boutique pela qualidade que tem. Escolhemos a suíte executiva para uma melhor acomodação Esse apartamento que nos apresentaram tinha cheiro de mofo. Acho que nao era usado a algum tempo. Quarto frio. Gelado. A noite NAO TINHA ÁGUA QUENTE. Não havia ninguém no suposto hotel para dar atendimento. O guardião nos passou que a falta d’água era por conta de muito uso dos outros hóspedes. 3 banheiros no quarto e não tinha agua quente. Pedi para chamar alguém e uma hora depois apareceu um menino de chinelo Sem identificação que não entendia nada. As tvs com fios expostos. O café da manhã não existia. Era uma senhora que cozinhava o que vc pedisse. Pedi um misto quente. Mas não tinha presunto. Básico do básico. Pior que hotel de beira de estrada. Trata se de air bnb disfarçado de hotel. Não recomendo estadia. De boutique nao tem nada. Foi lamentável. Deveria ser classificado como 2 estrelas no máximo.

The property was in a good location and close to shops and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful through out my stay. Will definitely stay here again.

Not so good experience in nice setting.

I will first share the negative and then the positive. I did not feel welcome on arrival as the check in was just taking me to the room and saying there is the wifi password and no further explanation or details. The airconditioner is too small for the room and struggles to cool down the room, the towel rail is broken, the desk lamp is broken and the coffee capsule machine is broken. After about 3 hours of arrival I noticed there was no water, I went to management and they informed me that a pipe burst in the neighborhood. Off course this is not in control of management, but communication is. The next morning I again went to management to ask whether they can not provide some way for us to flush our toilets - I would at least have expected communication in this regard, but none. I ended up using the dustbin and water from the geyser to flush the toilet and had to pay for a gym close by to take a shower. When I sat down for breakfast the first morning, I honestly had no idea what to do to get coffee as no staff approached me, althought there was a number of staff members in and around the kitchen. I eventually approaced them and asked where do I get coffee, to which they replied: hot or cold milk? The positive, the size of the room and bathroom is nice and large. The shower is nice as well as the towels and bedding. Setting with swimming pool is nice. The breakfast was well prepared and tasty. Fast internet with great connectivity.
