"I enjoy red roof Inn because you get friendly, helpful staff and the rooms are always clean and spacious. It has a breakfast that starts early and their pet friendly. And just basically no hassles and amazing affordability in the location could not have been better."
"The breakfast was great. Parking was accessible and the staff was friendly. The room was very dusty over the headboards of the beds and the television. We stayed on the second floor and the ceiling was extremely creaky. Luckily we had some sound machines to diminish the noise. Other then that, the hotel was great. "
"Our room was sweltering hot. When I told the front desk clerk that it was so uncomfortable she just said “oh, I’m sorry.” Lol Breakfast was far less options that other hotels of this caliber. Bath tub was less than clean. Bathroom floors in the corners looked like that hadn’t been cleaned in a decade. Solid disappointment with this hotel."
"Beautiful hotel! Gorgeous, artsy decor, huge room, warm and friendly staff. Great vibe. My only complaint at all was that there was no "grab and go" breakfast for us to grab while we were getting ready to go. Young lady at restaurant counter said they didn't have staff that morning to make the biscuits, which I thought was really strange for a Saturday. But she was so lovely and nice that I couldn't be upset about it. Anyway, I would definitely stay at Hotel Tupelo again!"
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Starkville at MSU
6/10 Okay
"First appearance the property is nice, lobby area clean, and good staff. The room seemed clean and suitable but later noticed that it seems clean at first but really needs a deep cleaning. The bed slept good and the pillows were good. the bed pedestal put the top of the bed at about 3 foot from the floor, which seems to high. The main complaint about the room was the bathroom fan which comes on with the light switch. The fan was very loud and annoying when ever the bathroom light was on. The breakfast was OK, would have been nice to have had biscuit's and gravy like other La Quinta's we had stayed at. The location and services around the hotel was a plus as its location for the university is very close."
"Everything in the room was in order except the toilet paper dispenser was coming out of the wall and the overhead lighting was lacking. Bring your own shampoo. Coffee in the room and in the lobby. "
"Due to construction there was no access to the business center nor were there lobby bathrooms available although this is temporary it was a little inconvenient. However, staff were super friendly and supplied me with a wifi connection and offered up lobby space so I could work. I did decide to work in my car since I arrived before check in and the construction was noisy. "
