"We really enjoyed our stay. All facilities are clean, cosy and comfy. The staff super nice. But the bonus was looking out from the balcony at the amazing view and the few farm animals they keep - lamas, sheep, goats - watching these creature roam around, enjoying the view... it was so lovely..."

"Stayed for two nights. Limited eating options mid week as we were told that Embers restaurant was all that was open. There was a communication problem as the Hotel staff didn’t seem to know about dinner being available at associated Golf Club ( lucky it was State of Origin football night so special catering was available).
We enjoyed our stay and had a very large room but hotel is getting a bit dated. There is an additional $15 per night charge to park your car (usually a distance from the entrance)."
"My parents had a negative opinion based on the past (over 20 years ago) and since we stayed here during winter magic festival (with two young kids), we can attest that the Metropole was completely positive and family friendly. The place has such a charm with clean, freshly painted and decorated decor, and modern renovations in the rooms while keeping a retro/vintage theme throughout that complements the history of the hotel. The dining area is beautiful and cozy, and staff were relaxed and professional. I had an exceptional cosmopolitan cocktail. And the location was great for walking to Katoomba st where the winter magic festivities happened in June.
The only negatives were some creaky floors, a pretty steep hill to walk to get to Katoomba st, however nice and close to the station as well. Another great point was a usable lift which helped in the case of having a pram.
I really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again."
"We absolutely loved the location of this apartment. We could see the Three Sisters from our window. The apartment was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The only negative comment we do have is that the walls are very thin and the next door neighbours had the tv on very, very loud."
"The hotel was clean and the staff were amazing. It was a short walk to the Main Street and multiple dining options. Great cafe across the street and the RSL is on the opposite corner for a handy feed in the rain."
"If you plan on going to the blue Mountains for hiking, Coumba and this hotel are an excellent place to stay. I enjoyed my days there and the staff were very helpful. You can do laundry on the property for coins. It is a nice sizable apartment for this solo traveler."
"I normally stay only in 4 & 5 Star properties.
Unfortunately I miss placed my trip and needed one more night.
This was the only option.
And I was pleasantly surprised. Extremely good value.
The pub was really friendly and the food was excellent value too.
And the view from the room was exceptional. See my photo"
"The room was just what we needed for the 3 of us. The electric blankets and air con made our stay so much more comfortable. And my son loved the little packets of biscuits.
The only downside was that nothing was within (toddler) walking distance... but everything was only 3 mins drive away, so not too bad.
We enjoyed our stay!"
