Beautiful location however the rooms were sort of outdated and the tv was out of service so we really didn’t have any entertainment in our room except our phones
I recently stayed at the Double Tree by Hilton for work. The facility was clean; however, the rooms are a bit outdated. Staff was friendly and polite. Pool/patio area has a beautiful view of the bridge and riverfront. Overall, it wasn't a terrible stay.
Room very clean and fresh, no musty smell. Staff helpful in many ways. Breakfast and bar was great.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Cons: older motel, no fridge/microwave in my room, slanted bathroom, stained carpet, small elevators. Pros: pool area, balcony, location next to river/riverwalk, Ruth-Chris Steakhouse inside hotel, friendly staff. Also, $25/day parking, overpriced $25 breakfast buffet. Owners need to spend money. Btw, I did see "Dog"Chapman and his wife there on July 4th, 2026
The room was clean comfortable and well stocked. Checking in was smooth and easy, parking was expensive but non complicated. The only down side is they did not offer late check out when requested and you couldn't control your own room temperature.
Wonderful hotel, comfortable beds. Breakfast was beyond basic- I would recommend to skip and go elsewhere for breakfast. All food was previously frozen packaged from a basic shop. Nothing was in house cooked in the morning
Surprised, since hotel has a chef on staff.

The location of this hotel was very convenient and the view of the river was amazing. However, the room we stayed in was very “tired” and needed some TLC.
I'm not sure how old this hotel is but the area room hallway gave late 90s. It's better than a motel 8 but not Hilton standard whatsoever. The staff I spoke with were great. My first room wasn't so great and I tried switching rooms to see if my experience would get better but it got worse.
The door to each room seemed like thwy have been pryed open with a tool or the door were painted while closed and the paint was chipping on the sides of the door. The lighting was dem and I could still identify the mold or mildew the rooms had. Not a horrible smell upon check in but I'm sure after the first not I would have smell it. The second room a had roach egg and shelling on the pillow case when I lifted up the sheets. I decided to check out and get another hotel. This place needs renovated ASAP! Hilton has way too much money for this hotel to not be renovated yet!
Cheaper hotel in downtown Jacksonville but hotel needs a total refresh is a very rundown hotel but for the money and the location it is a good stay in the Riverview is amazing
The property is showing it’s age. The location is central to many downtown locations.
The parking is confusing as to what free to use vs paid to use. Thankfully the valet was helpful.
The property shares footprint with Ruth Chris steakhouse. That is the best reason to stay
Downstairs and lobby were more updated..rooms were not. Had to move to another room because air conditioner had soaked the carpet and smelled terrible. Staff was wonderful and moved us to another room. Not Doubletree fault but the whole 9th floor reeked of pot. Nauseating smell on balcony and in hallway.
