Room was fine. They greet you with free orange juice and coffee. My issue was that to access the hotel with a car you need to enter through the highway. We were in switzerland for 24hrs only with a german rental car so we did not want to buy a vignette for 1 hour of use. I left the car in a nearby road and asked in reception if there was any way to access the parking or any nearby place to park, to which I was answered: “just pay the vigentte, its cheap. its not my problem that you dont have a vignette” Ultimately we found street parking for 4 francs for 15 hours of parking (even cheaper than what the hotel charges for parking, haha) without needing a vignette. Was that so hard to mention? It amazes me how a receptionist can just say “its not my problem” instead of saying “I understand, there’s a non-highway street parking just 4 minutes walking that way”. Had a stressful time for no reason at all. Also, they do not give a bern card

Had a bit of a hard time getting on the right road to access the hotel. Once there the room and staff were great. In fact in the morning there were 2 buses of people who overwhelmed the breakfast area, literally taking all the food as soon as it came out, leaving nothing for other guests who were not willing to be so pushy. The poor cook and staff were in tears but did an excellent job holding it together. They tried to accommodate those of us not with the foreign travelers on the busses. It was the craziest behavior of people at a breakfast buffet we have ever seen. The staff was excellent in such a weird frenzy.

My family and I stayed here for a few nights and we really loved it! It is more of a remote location so plan to walk to certain stations for transportation (~15 min) but they have everything necessary nearby (gas station, bistro/deli, small resturant, fast food, etc.) The room was small but cozy and comfortable and the staff were kind and helpful! The breakfast is fantastic and free every day from select hours and all around us are gorgeous nature views and paths! The bathroom wasn't bad but be careful of water spilling out of the tub - really that's are main compliant but others we had a lovely time, thanks to the staff at Hotel Grauholz!

The hotel is modern and in a convenient location. However, it does not have true air conditioning as advertised. AC units are present in the rooms, but they do not actually cool. They are merely fans for ventilation. When I asked about this at the front desk, the clerk says they are not like "American air conditioners". Fortunately the temperatures were only in the 70s during the day. But the room was still a little uncomfortable at night.

Booked 2 rooms for 4 adults and 4 kids. Both rooms only had beds for 3 people. When we asked about it, staff advised that the extra bed was broken. One of our kids had to sleep on the floor and one had to use the bench as a bed. Hotel was understaffed (only one staff) and AC was broken in one room.

Clean but very hot rooms in summer

This hotel would be fine in cooler temperatures but it was so hot in our rooms that it was very difficult to sleep at all. There are air conditioning units in the rooms but they did not cool things down much at all. You can open windows at night but this hotel is right off the freeway so it's got a lot of road noise. It was a high price too for the lack of sleep we had. The front desk staff were really nice, there were drinks available all the time which was great, and the hotel rooms we were in were clean.

Kommen gerne wieder

Es ist ein sehr schönes gut ausgestattetes Hotel und immer gut geeignet für eine Zwischenübernachtung unterwegs. Auch wenn es direkt an der Autibahn gelegen ist, so höhrt man doch keinen Lärm durch die gut isolierten Fenster.

In der Dusche an der Decke hat‘s Schimmelflecken. Ich empfehle (hatte das selbe zu Hause) Entfernung und neu Malen mit einer Anti-funghi Farbe (hat bei mir genützt). Ansonsten alles bestens, sehr speditive Reception!
