The Skye Inn

Dunollie Hotel

"Bar area staff, ale, and food ordered, perfect. Did not stay for breakfast, short of tea bags in the room."

Bracken Hide Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Truly the best property in Portree. Yes you are outside of town centre, but it is within a 10 minute walk which we easily did a few times. The hotel was incredible. My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon and the pictures do not do it justice ! It is by far one of the most romantic places I’ve stayed . Of course ,the weather was amazing when we went ;but it was so cozy and charming , especially waking up to the sunrise . The room was clean and efficient, all we really needed . Very sleek without being pretentious . Now let’s move on to the hospitality. Paula was incredible . The best service at a restaurant I have received in Scotland , and up there with many fine dining establishments. We were late coming in from our tour and were worried about missing dinner , but she was so gracious and accommodating, we felt so comfortable and at home . This level of service is so rare and with both my husband and I working in restaurants, it was not only greatly appreciated, but truly made our whole experience . If you want to be pampered in the highlands and feel truly looked after, I truly recommend this property . One of the high lights of our entire trip . Thank you to all the staff ! It was truly Devine"

"Beautiful property"

Kings Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Short stay (one night only - should have been two but travel disruption delayed me). Comfortable single room with good bathroom. I was on the second floor, lift was available but I used the stairs. The room was an attic room with sloping ceiling and a window overlooking the sea.
Ate both evening and breakfast meals at the hotel - both were very good, although a large coach party being in at the same time did limit when I could have dinner and made the breakfast buffet quite crowded.
Parts of the hotel are obviously quite tired and you could hear people moving around / doors banging etc. However, it felt like there was work going on to refresh it and the hotel was certainly clean and staff were all very friendly.
I had hoped to explore more from the hotel but didn't have as much time as hoped. Connectivity to Kyle of Lochalsh and into the rest of Skye by bus was slightly more limited than I'd realised and so I would think more carefully about this in future."

Duisdale House Hotel

"Our dog friendly room was on the 3rd floor with a colourful skylight. It was spotless and pitch black at night which was amazing.
The staff always had a smile on their face and were more than happy to provide recommendations for things to do or places to go.
The breakfast was superb. The square sausage was delicious.
The dinner was tasty although the menu, for me, was fancier than it needed to be but was lovely "
