"We were honored to be the first guests after Isla Azul’s reopening under new management. The hotel manager Pedro is exceptionally friendly and customer-focused. He and his team were a highlight of our stay. He coordinated awe-inspiring snorkeling and phytoplankton tours with an experienced local guide. The restaurant chef whipped up delicious local favorites, made to order, and the piña coladas were nice and cold! The hotel was still in the process of renovating during our stay, so I expect that...
"This is a great alternative to the hotels that are on the island. But it is an econo Lodge. Meaning limited power and water. It does give a real feel for the colonial living of the island. And for my overnight stays between diving it fit the need."
"I really loved this stay! The island was very nice, I loved being able to immerse myself in nature. I saw wild parrots too! The island is very walkable, and there is a little store next door with sodas and chips, which we enjoyed.
The room was very spacious and we enjoyed the outdoor hammock. The dogs were super friendly and so were the cats! The fan was enough to keep us cool, and the shower was great for if you get hot. Check-in was smooth and we were offered a place to store our luggage at...
"After booking, we repeatedly messaged the hotel for directions and only got a reply at 7:55am on check-in day, telling us the only boat left Cartagena at 8:15am. No way to make it. They then sent a contact for a 9am boat costing 90k + 30k port tax, though cheaper 70k options exist. Given boats run only until 9am and transport can cost as much as two nights’ stay, this should be clearly stated before booking – we could easily have missed the first night.
At the hotel, overnight guests have no...
"We spent a night at Enai del Mar and honestly wished we had booked a longer stay. The views are incredible, the atmosphere is peaceful and every corner of the property has been designed with great taste.
We were looking for somewhere exclusive, surrounded by nature and far removed from the pace of everyday life, and Enai del Mar delivered exactly that. Waking up to the sea views, spending the day by the water and enjoying the authentic Colombian Caribbean atmosphere was an experience we'll...
"If you want an island experience this is the place I loved it no TV's just outside fun the staff was super friendly we ate together and played dominos together. Erika helped me with anything and everything I needed she got me picked up from the airport and dropped off at my first hotel then handled the rides and boat to the island. I decided to pickup a second day and didn't regret it. I ate fresh crab fresh lobster fresh from the water at the cheapest price I've ever seen. Diego was super...
"This is one of those places that you don’t want to leave and you always want to come back to! Worth every dollar spent! Best hotel in Cartagena / Baru without a doubt!"
