"Lesson learned - Don't book a stay with a property that doesn't have a single person on-site or on-call to help. By the time we arrived our check-in email from the Guesthouse still had not arrived in our email inbox. This email is the only way in to your room, as it holds the lockbox code which holds your key. Essential by Dorint Interlaken

10/10 Excellent

"The location cannot be beat for access to the Interlaken West train station. The lobby exits right onto the train platform. We were on 4th floor overlooking the platform, the canal, a quiet neighborhood and the mountains beyond. Barely heard the trains going by! The ferry for Lake Thun is also right there. Loved the floor to ceiling picture window view, even when it rained."

Hotel Merkur Interlaken

10/10 Excellent

"We were greeted by a lovely staff member who explained everything well and helped us with holding our bags before checking in. She was very friendly. The room was lovely and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and had a great view of the beautiful scenery. Great location near the train station too!"

Swiss Hotel Apartments-Interlaken

8/10 Good

"Pros - Overall, the apartment was clean and modern. It is spacious with enough storage for our belongings. Convenient location and come with strong working A/C, great feature in summer; also having washer, dryer and functioning kitchen are good features. Cleaners come in everyday to help wash dishes, tidy up, etc. which was nice. Cons - Dryer was not functional and had to self fix. Shower tiles were grimy and moldy."
