"I travel for authentic experiences. This hotel was perfect in many ways. It was close to the clinic that we had to attend for 8 days. When the owner realized my husband was disabled, he changed the room to one close to the "garden" where breakfast was served. The food was excellent, the women in attendance welcoming and a delight to get to know. If you are an American do not worry. The owner speaks English and the apps used to translate seamless. We met travelers from several countries, and were able to share a bit of time conversation each morning. The beach is about a mile away and must be enjoyable in the summer. It was not yet prepared for visitors so I cannot really comment. We actually made a return trip to this hotel after traveling to other parts of Turkey. Hopefully, you too may enjoy this traveler friendly spot should you be in Muglla."

"I appreciated that the hotel had an on-site spa, and I was lucky it wasn’t busy, because the spa turned out to be mixed-gender. I was surprised, since I had asked beforehand and expected men and women to be separated, especially as I wear a headscarf. Still, the staff were kind and made sure no men entered while I was using the facilities, even closing the doors—definitely a perk of being the only guest. I booked a spa package with a Turkish bath and a massage. What surprised me most was how expensive the amenities were, especially considering how empty the hotel was during my two-day stay. My package cost around 3,500 lira, which felt high given that the average monthly salary in Turkey is around 2,200 lira. I understand tourist pricing, but since it was Black Friday and low season, many places adjusted their rates—this hotel didn’t. For that price, I would rather have a spa experience in another country. Aside from a few people I saw on the first night, the hotel felt completely empty. Despite the slow season, everything still felt overpriced. Even simple food was expensive: a margarita pizza was almost $15 and not very good. It was supposed to have basil, but they replaced it with whole salad leaves, which made no sense. Overall, I found the hotel overrated. I had been in Fethiye right before, and even in the off-season it felt livelier. Göcek is beautiful, especially the marina, but staying there is extremely expensive for a place that feels quite soulless."

"I was new to D Resort Hotels and stayed at their resort at Gocek Turkey at the end of our vacation. The grounds are gorgeous as are the rooms, spa and restaurants. We ate at all their restaurants which were excellent but the Japanese restaurant was the stand out for the sushi, drink and view. Staff was exceptional and my favorite was Yigit who really personalized our visit. Now that I know about this hotel chain I’ll make sure I stay with them in the future. "

"Basic amenities in a natural environment. The hosts were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious. A big, sandy beach is only a short walk away. It’s just a 15-minute drive to the nearby port where there were some lovely bars and restaurants."

"The Halcyon is very clean and comfortable otel. The owner Bayramalı and his wife very hospitable from check-in to check out. The hotel is in a small village, quiet and peaceful. Breakfast very nice with fresh food and variety. We would like to visit this hotel again if we travel in this area."

"Excellent service, delicious breakfast and amazing location. I would recommend this both for the families and couples. The pool was impressive and it is a bargain for the price especially given that hotels next door at the marina is almost 4 times more expensive."
