"We chose this hotel for the location of the Tram and train services. The room was comfortable and mostly clean. The shower area could use a cleaning for mold. Amenities were minimal as compared to other stays in Scotland. The check in person was very helpful and pleasant and the common areas of the hotel were clean and well kept. We did not use the lounge or restaurants but they were welcoming. Overall we appreciated the location but were not sure it was worth the expense as compared with our other stays."

"Excellent airport location. 10-minute walk to terminal, with option to take bus if desired. Was offput by hotel only accepting credit card payment for everything. Even at bar, couldn't pay for a drink with cash. Minor quibble about the shower in Room 222. Impossible to position shower head in desired position and have it stay in place. Shower head kept slipping. Plastic ring connecting shower head to fixture made adjustment awkward. Overall, a decent place to stay one night if you're catching a flight the next day."

"Right on Grassmarket is centrally located. Area wasn’t noisy which I didn’t expect. Room was clean, well appointed and kept up. Staff very helpful. Only complaint is that television selection wasn’t great. Not bad but not great."

"Good location. Rooms on the non castle side hear garbage trucks early in the morning. Other than that I would be happy to stay there again."

"Overall we had a good stay. Had a few off days with housekeeping but was always rectified. Front desk was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good nice selections. Suppers were good. There was definitely 1 server we had the opportunity to have on multiple occasions( Imran). Very pleasant and great service. The pool area was nice we did use it a few times. The hotel as a whole needs some upgrading and safes in the room and a mini fridge!"
