"Dover beach, restaurants and convenience store are within walking distance. My bathroom faucet was not sealed with silicone; it was moving freely while turning on the water. The sofa bed has strong piss smell. Our king bed is sinking down and pillows are not the same size. Room needs patching and cleaning throughout. Utensils are not fully functional and available, missing pieces here and there. Tenants smoke marijuana and always seep thru cracks in room. Main door not fully close/seal....

The Crane Resort

10/10 Excellent

"The plants in the garden are unique and well manicured, and the grounds are clean and well kept, so kudos to the grounds men. The room looks beautiful and housekeeping of each space including the linens was superior. The concierge Chantel went above and beyond to make us feel like VIP at planned activities even on last moment requested trips. Chantal daily amazing greetings made us feel super welcome at the Crane; kudos to Chantal make sure you meet her upon your visit at the Crane. The daily buffet breakfast was always on point; kudos to all the Chefs. The restaurant manager where we has the the Buffet was super friendly and aims to please, with excellent problem solving skills. The staff are awesome, friendly and we were amazed to take notice of the frequent greetings as they passed us by on the grounds; such perfect manners it made us feel very at home and welcome. Our bus driver from the hotel was very professional and knowledgeable of the island. I would definitely love to return to the historic Crane with my entire family and friends to enjoy what I experienced."

"We had an excellent 3 day birthday holiday at this hotel. We were welcomed warmly and upgraded to a bigger nicer room when we arrived. The room was facing the Ocean which was a very nice surprise. All staff we interacted with seem to enjoy their job's. The restaurant staff was very efficient and friendly. The Dinner we ate there was Delicious. The Gym had everything needed and more ."

"The hotel was nice, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to borrow beach towels, which was very convenient. There are also 2 adorable cats on the property that made our stay even more enjoyable! Our room looked exactly like the pictures online. We thought it was good value for the price we paid. The bed was a bit firm, the toilet didn’t flush very well, and the shower pressure wasn’t the best, but nothing dramatic. The room was clean and comfortable. One thing that could be improved is the housekeeping service. We stayed for one week, but our room was only cleaned once during our entire stay. Our biggest little “ick” was the curtains. The curtain rod was thick and made of wood, so the curtain didn’t slide smoothly at all. The curtain rings were rusty, which wasn’t very pleasant to touch whenever we opened or closed them. At one point, the curtain rod even came loose and fell on us! Nothing serious, but it could definitely use a little maintenance.😅 We had breakfast at the hotel one morning. It was delicious, but a little expensive. There is no direct beach access. The biggest downside for us was the location. It was quite far from most attractions, so we had to take an Uber almost everywhere. That said, that’s on us! We should have looked more carefully at the location before booking. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place with friendly staff, as long as they’re aware of the location☺"
