A sulphur miner treks up the steep slopes of Kawah Ijen in Eastern Java

Ijen crater is another beautiful place to visit as well as a photography spot. Blue fire is the subject that I was targeting for.

However, the journey to go there is quite challenging. I have to trek uphill and downhill for about 2.5 hours to catch blue fire before sunrise. Physical fitness must be good to walk uphill and downhill fast in order to catch blue fire.

I took this photo when I was coming back from blue fire. As shown, the crater full of sulphur smoke and you need to get ready with gas mask.
