"If you are going to visit Tamarindo, this is the place to stay. The facility itself is very well maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful with a variety of mature trees and well attended gardens. The views of the ocean are unmatched. Breakfast was included in our stay and the food was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!"

"A must stay in Costa Rica! One of the most tranquil, romantic, and beautiful places we’ve ever stayed! The personal and small touches made all the difference! This is a boutique hotel where the staff all truly care for guests and one another. Valery, Fiorella, Issabella, and all the ESH staff were so lovely and welcoming. Danny, Francisco, Froylan, and all the staff at Almar were amazing, and the food and cocktails were terrific! The rooms are all private and have amazing amenities. It is close to Guiones and they offer shuttle service to all the local locations. Further, they provided many food and activity recommendations off site. Overall, it was the highlight of our trip, and will be recommending ESH to anyone who plans to travel to Costa Rica! Pure Vida!"

"The ocean views were amazing! The breakfast was consistently delicious. The staff was always helpful and very friendly. We had a small issue with our room (no fault of the hotel) and the manager quickly offered us an upgrade to a beautiful suite. There is access via a walking path to two separate beaches, and many dining options nearby (Guiones is a short 15 minute walk down the beach for more options). Overall a nice quiet place to relax and enjoy the ocean, the sun, and the spectacular sunsets."
