"This was a really good stay, from the moment you get into the shuttle from the airport, to being greeted at the lobby, the clean and spacious rooms, great food at the restaurant with helpful servers, and the clean pool. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to stay in Costa Rica!"

"The hotel was amazing. It is well kept and the property was beautiful. The staff were amazing and were very friendly. The Hotel Area Manager Dennis Whitelaw met us at the lobby when we just arrived and he was amazing. He welcome us and even give us gift (Costa Rica Coffee) which we really appreciate. We love the good and we will definitely be back."

"Overall, our stay at Barceló San José was okay. The hotel, rooms, and lobby were clean, and the staff was nice. However, the pool area could use better maintenance since there were a lot of leaves and debris, especially in the kiddie pool. The hotel also feels a bit outdated. Breakfast was just okay — it would be nice to have more variety and international food options for guests from different countries."

"Esta limpio te prestan servicio de traslado al aeropuerto, pero solicite la reservacion por una plataforma y cuando pedí que se me facturará me dijeron que no podían porque lo habia hecho a través de la plataforma. Sin embargo el hotel es el que presta el servicio de hospedaje y la solicitud se emitió a mi nombre."
