"I needed immediate help when the sat sav dumped me nearby & my host talked me all the way to the front door which was a huge relief. The accommodation is dated but I knew that from the photos it was very clean though & i was surprised to find all the essentials had ben left. I wasn’t expecting that so had brought it all with me. "Water pressure problems throughout our stay. Hit water coming through both cold and hot taps. We had no shower for the duration of our stay. Kitchen sink has no hot water so we had to wash the dishes with cold water. Boiler noisy and once it was on, the leak was coming through the ceiling. We had switched the boiler off on the last night of the stay due to the noise and the safety concern due to the extreme not water running from both hot and cold taps in the bathroom. The Chatsworth Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We loved, loved, loved this hotel and would definitely stay again if back in Eastbourne. It was a last minute trip and quite unplanned so I booked based on others great feedback and we have to agree. Easy parking was followed by such a lovely warm welcome and quick checkin. They have a beautiful old and original lift int he hotel with metal shutters and a seat which was lovely. However what was even nicer was the fact that you are taken to your room to check you are happy with it. The staff at every contact were friendly and the place spotlessly clean. We would have been very happy had we been staying longer. Another nice touch was the offer of a complimentary glass of wine int he bar at 6pm as a welcome to the hotel. Whilst we couldnt take advantage it was touches like this that made the place feel out of the ordinary and a little more special. Everything about the hotel showed tradition and elegance. Well dont to the team working at this hotel - you are doing a great job!!!"

"The hotel staff cannot do enough for you, very friendly and efficient. My room was basic, but thats what i paid for. Clean and fresh room, with beach view, plenty big enough for 1 person, which is what i booked. Thankful to all staff, and that there is a lift, as i was on the 4th floor! Perfect stay and great range of breakfast! Many thanks to all at the Cumberland!😁"
