"Botanical garden in the hotel was more impressive than the actual botanical garden"

"Amazing breakfast and dinner. Spotless! You can feel the hotel had its splendid times in the past with all good quality finishings of the room and jetted bath. The resort has many things for a family holiday including tennis court, small but good gym, kids club, big pool for families and all the entertainments for kids as well. I have to say it’s my first time seeing staff cleaning a plant leaf by leaf! The furnitures are old but they are spotless! The staff love their job and they do a good job as well! We had issue with one room and got a new room without any issue. My boy was sick and they gave kettle free of charge, which is usually 5 euros otherwise. The only thing that worth mentioning but deff not the hotel’s fault is that the location in on the cooler place of Tenerife. If you want to go to sea activities like scuba diving etc, you will need to drive just move 1hr to the other side, the sunny side of Tenerife. To us, we drive around 2:30hrs a day. For a week, it builds up, but we don’t really mind. Preferring staying in a quiet place!"

"Stunning adults only hotel in an absolutely fantastic location in the north of the island. Spa and hot tubs on the roof terrace are a real highlight and the breakfast in the morning was superb with loads of choices. "

"The rooms were clean but in need of an upgrade. Bathroom in need of upgrade - bath was very plastic feeling and shower rather feeble. The staff were excellent, they went above and beyond for us as we were celebrating a 21st Birthday while there. Had a sea view. Food choices were good although sometimes the food was lukewarm. I did notice some people microwave their food. Entertainment was good, something for everyone during the day and at night too - Entertainment team were very good Hotel is family friendly Overall had a lovely week away"

"This was an excellent choice for our stay on tenerife in the canary islands. Our third floor seaside room was wonderful because we could leave the door open and listen to the waves. And yet, still have privacy during the day, because people could not see in from the street. The breakfast offering is quite amazing. And the room has modern appointments that were really nice such as motion detected nightlights in the bathroom and l e d's that could be set for different light levels. It's true that the rooms are not very large and the bathroom is quite a squeeze. I was also a little stumped that amenities did not include body lotion or hair conditioner. These seem pretty basic for a four star hotel. However, overall it was a wonderful place for us to spend our time in the canary islands"

"Fantastic stay! The hotel is a stunning old house with loads of character and spotless rooms. The staff is lovely, and the location is as central as it gets. As is common with historic buildings, you can hear a little noise from other rooms, but it didn't take away from the experience. Highly recommend!"

"We had an enjoyable 3 nights stay at the Rui Garoe. We had room 409 with a private balcony overlooking the pool. The room was a good size, clean and smart. Huge comfortable bed. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful, well kept grounds and we did hire a car and found a free parking space outside easily. The location is ideal, very quiet on the edge of town. There was a shuttle bus to town but had fewer seats than those waiting to go. We walked into town which took 20 minutes and was good exercise back uphill! - it's a nice route with lovely views of the coast. We also used local buses to get around and walk along the coast. Breakfast and Dinner were of a very high standard. Huge choice and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. There were freshly cooked choices with daily changes. We don't normally like inclusive options, but this was a pleasant surprise. A couple of small grumbles, only because this is trying hard and very nearly a top quality hotel. To be able to use the safe in your room (that's already there) the charge is €2 per day - that's a first. The only other gripe is the complete absence of free drinking water around the hotel. Most guests bought water at the nearby convenience store. We would recommend the hotel and come to stay again."
