"My room was perfect. a little small but I was out and about and not living in it. Bed was so comfortable and the microwave and fridge were just what I needed. Breakfast was amazing and well stocked. Staff was so kind -everyone from the front desk to the maintenance people. The hot tub was great and I literally walked to the beach. Lots of eating places around and easy access to the interstate. "Great staff. Great location. Rooms are being re-modelled. But those that are open are in v good shape. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Shopping right across the street with a great Lazy Acres, laundromat, Serranos ... a terrific and inexpensive Mexican restaurant (huge portions). Price is right for Encinitas."

"The room was very nice as was the staff. I loved the roof top seating areas. We brought our wine to watch the sunset. Lovely. They have a record player in the room and you can use albums from the lobby. Bring your own if you have them. 😀 They offer a nice healthy breakfast that you can take with you to the room or up to the roof. Great spot to walk to local restaurants. We had a drink at the Shanty right next to the lodge. Drinks were good and a fun place to hang out for a bit. "
