"I feel this is one of the best hotels and was my families favorite hotel of our trip to Japan. I love the private pools and the complete environment of this hotel, location in the woods, by a river, quiet and peaceful. "

"We had a very relaxing family holiday here. There were hardly any other guests when we stayed, and it was almost like having a private resort. The restaurant staff made us two lovely dinners and breakfasts, the first dinner was an intricate kaiseki spread, and the second was delicious grilled steak. Breakfast had plenty of options for both Japanese and Western style meals. "I think very few gaijin go this far out. Some of the communication was difficult but the staff tried really hard and we enjoyed the stay
Hard to navigate getting to and from major stations and it snowed one day at end of March
Overall I’m glad we did it for the experience to be immersed in Japanese culture.

"We were traveling with a large family and this property suited our needs perfectly. We had space for kids and adults, plus there's laundry and an onsen. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. We'd definitely come back to this location."

"The room was magnificent! It was huge with great view of the mountains! Heater worked wonderful! It was freezing outside so a good heater was super good for the night!
It was a Japanese style room, tatami floors and beds
AND they had extra beds to make it more comfy!
Would stay here again!!! "
"Room is nice and spacious, everywhere is clean, very comfortable
Osen area is a bit small, peak hour maybe crowded.
Buffet breakfast and dinner are delicious "
"Room was tatami, very traditional. My spouse loved sleeping on the tatami mats and she especially loved the yukkata and the onsen. The buffet dinner and breakfast were the best ever!"

It was nice to relax in our own private onsen tubs whenever we liked. The surrounding town is pretty quiet, and we didn’t have much time to explore it, but the river and woods are very beautiful. "
