Stayed at Cross Keys for 7 nights for a work and could not have been more value for money. Room was an excellent size and immaculately clean, bathroom was an excellent size with a very nice and hot shower. The staff were excellent and even went beyond what was expected by providing two extra heaters for my room in case I needed them. Could not have asked for any more and thoroughly recommend Cross Keys hotel.

The food is very good and, having been there the previous Saturday, after dropping our daughter off at Hull University, we were looking forward to another meal there. Unfortunately they stopped serving at 7 pm and we arrived minutes too late and they had stopped serving food. Landlady helpful and suggested places to eat. Handy for Hull University. Will be back.

We only stayed for a few hours and what we saw was good. We were called away unexpectedly and did not sleep there. So we lost our money.

TV did not work, Shower did not work, Electric kettle button had to be held down manually, to get hot water, It was a cold night, I switched on the portable oil filled radiator, that did not work either,Upper floors have no bannisters. a certain health and safety infringement, I was on the top floor, and being disabled and on a walking stick, I told the man on reception, I would have to move to a lower and safer room, he told me there were no other room available, only when I said I wanted to change hotels, and my friend who had a room on the same floor, would be leaving with me, that as If by magic room 1 became available. My pals shower also did not work, he had to shower on the next floor down, Will never stay there ever again, First let down in Hull ever.

Staying here was convienient and the staff were extreamly friendly. Room was lovely and clean and provided exactly what we needed for a one night stay in Hull. Would definately book again, room was cheap in comparison to other hotels. My only gripes, though very minor ones, were the bathroom door kept sticking when you tried to open it, leading to you having to loudly barge into it to force it open, if you needed the bathroom at night you were definately waking your room mate! Also the light in there is on a timer switch from the wall which is odd when you are having a shower and the light goes off. Like I said these were very minor gripes and did not stop us at all from having a lovely stay in the hotel.

Small but cosy room, really warm (Great considering it was freezing outside) Staff were very friendly, showed us up to our room and explained everything we needed to know. Even with a music evening going on downstairs in the bar, not a thing was heard in the room, great for sleep! Overall, really nice stay, will stay here again if I need to visit the area.

It’s a nice pub, the rooms are clean and staff very helpful. Good location for the University and all the restaurants and pubs catering to students. If you’re visiting kids at Hull University, good budget choice.

Clean and comfy bed. But shower was useless since it kept going hot and cold all the time. Hotel blamed it on the water pressure but I think it was a faulty thermostat in the shower itself. But friendly staff that seemed willing to help sort out any problem
