""The Hamp" is often my go-to hotel when traveling and this was one of the best ones I've been to -- super friendly and helpful staff, clean and fresh-feeling room, and definitely the best hot breakfast buffet I've experienced... the usual eggs and potatoes and waffle maker, but also a nice taste of the southwest with pulled pork one day, chicken tinga the next, plus corn and flour tortillas, salsa, hot sauce, crema and queso fresca. Oh and overnight oats (two varieties) too! Really great value and a convenient downtown location, with several terrific restaurants just a few blocks away. Just wish we'd been going to an Astros game during our stay... the stadium is right down the street too!"

"You are required to buy an extra $25 convenience pass. It gives you access to the gym and $13 voucher to the restaurant. We weren’t there long enough to use the voucher so we didn’t want to pay, but it’s not optional, just a classy money grab gimmick for such a fancy hotel.. The hotel itself and staff and location are wonderful."
