Chose this hotel for our anniversary and was quite disappointed
Power went out
Water went out
Room was never cleaned in our 2 night stay
Staff was very unfriendly and very careless towards guests
Great deal on the room but at a cost
This was our date night, but didn’t turn out good. Well the check in was fine. I always check the room the top of the blanket had hair on it and one of my pillows. The bathroom had hair on the floor, top of the toilet and on 2 of the towels ( big and small). I was not happy and felt uncomfortable. I had to turn the pillowcase inside out on order to feel comfortable enough to sleep. Not sure what happened but this was not acceptable. I have pictures as well.... 😔😳 At 8:30 AM Sunday morning we were woke up with a transformer blowing out the power at the hotel.. I have PTSD so I was scared for my life not knowing what was going on. When we checked out I tried to advise the front desk of the issues and told me to tell Expedia because that’s who I paid. He didn’t care at all. I can’t believe this hotel had these issues and the manager did not care.....
When I arrived, it took the front desk clerk about 30 minutes to check me in. She stated she was trying to login but I don’t think that’s what she was doing. The next morning when I was trying to reach housekeeping for more towels, I had to make 6 calls in order to reach the front desk and then I was inconvenience. Front desk clerk told me that I had to come from the 18th floor to the front desk for towels. Housekeeping never came to clean up my room and I found chip bags from the previous person who stayed in the room. All night I heard rattling in the room. I’m not sure if it was a bug or the ac unit.
If i knew the pool was closed I would have never went there.

Hotel check in lady was rude and short tempered. Not guest friendly at all. Hotel room did not get cleaned after our first night. For $100 a night this is unacceptable. No refill on toiletries or towels or waters or coffee.
Don’t seem like the rooms are deep cleaned enough. The rooms were hot as hell. My sister and her family switched rooms 3 times due to it being hot, last time it was 4am and they finally got a room with double beds after being told there was none. But you managed to find with at 4am. They was a plastic wrap over the smoke detector in the room I guess someone was smoking in a non smoking room. The rooms were just a mess sheets coming all off the bed. Never again we will stick to Airbnb’s when coming to Houston.
This hotel is crooked and they have no problem robbing you of your money if you’re not vigilant on their charges.
First off, the front desk clerk overcharged my security deposit by $314. I was supposed to stay there for 5 days due to Hurricane Laura, but I left the next morning. I had to debate with the front desk clerk so they can figure out how to give me back the money for overcharging me. He had no clue what he was talking about and he was prepared to not do anything about it if I wasn’t so upset by the overcharge. I’ve stayed at hotels before and they don’t charge you double just to stay. Luckily my bank credited me back the money the hotel owed me.
So yes, I checked out Monday. Hotels.com had to negotiate with the hotel and guess what...that same hotel clerk told an agent to wait until 3pm to speak to manager about my cancellation. Well the manager never showed up. I checked out at 4pm and turned in my keys.
Btw, the elevator smells like urine and the hallways are disgusting. There’s paint clippings on the walls and it just feels eerie in the hotel.
All week, Hotels.com was trying to get some type of answer about my refund due to having a very unpleasant time.
Fast forward to Friday, I called to make sure the hotel wouldn’t charge me for additional days after I checked in Monday, and they claimed I never checked out. I spoke to manager, and he was very unprofessional and rude.
Also, the hotel closes next month. I will never stay at a Wyndham.
Rude staff. The alarm batteries were low so the beeping went off all night. Didn’t even change room because they were “fully booked” horrible experience. Will not be returning.
The expected with covid pool was closed and hot tub.
Place was clean. No room service bar was closed.
Customer service is as usual. Get your room and go on.
The place definitely needs a facelift. There were holes on the wall the bathroom wasn't the cleanest and it had a weird smell. In the hallway you can see paint chipping and also in our room. The sheets felt like paper thin and the light in our room kept flickering on and off it was alright for the night but would not come back. The parking lot gate was broken and there were random people around the property one guy was setting up a camp in the parking lot.

Disliked: Amenities
Overall it was pretty clean. My floor smelled really bad due to overflowing trash in the vending/ice room. And all amenities are closed due to COVID which would be nice if they posted that information on their website.
I would definitely recommend this to be a place to stay and I will be staying there again when I come back

Even if they say, the housekeeping will be done on the 4th day, you need to ask for it before 9am on the 4th day. The room price did not go down even with the lower frequency of the housekeeping.
I didn’t like anything honestly the rooms were dirty and we had to wait about 45 minutes to get a dirty room . The shower was filthy I had to go buy bleach to clean it.
Due to covid the amenities were close i didn't like that

Clean room was not available at check in In spite of CoronaVirus and posted signs saying the hotel would enforce all customers and employees wearing masks, I had to dodge the majority of the customers who were NOT. It should be a no mask no service policy!!!!
Finally, I know it is hard to enforce, but I smelled pott being smoked on my floor - Need to enforce the no smoking policy.
Got to hotel around 930 in the night and saw lots of people still waiting on rooms, some people been waiting for coupler hours .
I went to checking in to see if my room is ready and the desk person told me the same thing , NO. Even I booked almost month ago, so I ask for refund, but they don't want to deal with it , they just want me to call hotel.com. Will not recommend this hotel at all.
This Hotel was extremely dirty they had talked about the cleaning and sanitizing procedures they had put in place to keep their customers safe and asked everyone to wear a mask for protection but when my family had gotten to the room the trash can was overflowing with garbage, someone’s stale coffee was still sitting on the table, there were stains on the bed and stuff of the sheets that made it seem like it was almost certain they had not been washed plus there were used bars of soap still in the bathroom not to mention the handle was falling off the bathroom door it was a truly disgusting experience
Very disappointed. First we were given the wrong key for our room, then when we noticed that the hallway was filthy. It needed a good vacuuming. It made us worry about the cleanliness of the room. Fortunately the room was not as bad. I didn’t feel very happy about it.
