Hotels with Spa in Hopfen am See, Fuessen

"Very friendly staff with easy check in/out. Room is large with large bathroom. Comfy pillows and comforter. Had door to balcony with table/chairs. Bistro was glass enclosed with castle view. Horse carriage pickup is right outside the hotel. Town is very crowded during the day with bus tours but cleared out by 5. Public bathroom is 1 euro and disgusting. Both men and woman used either one, the floor are wet (didn’t rain!) but the worst is the smell that hits you after you pay the euro to enter. If you can wait til the hotel then do!! "

"We came to tour the castles and this was the perfect spot lace to stay. Great hotel restaurant. Large grocery store right next door. Short walk to train. Very spacious and clean room. "

"Just steps from the train station! Desk clerk was nervous about her English; we pointed out that our German is zero. Looking over her shoulder, I noticed a glass doored refrigerator, with beer. We'd just got off a long train trip (four trains, and a couple alternate itineraries due to impossible connection times). She sold us a large bottle of dunkel and opened it for us at the desk. Our moods immediately improved! Breakfast was good and extensive. Dining room is very nice. Actually, everything about this place was nice. I booked at the last minute, found this hotel and paid more than I had budgeted. I'd recommend it though. "

"This was the most amazing hotel. Our room was beautiful and the view utterly breathtaking. We had a small balcony and giant picture windows in the room from which we could see a lake with a chain of alps. It’s a short walk to a castle ruins, and a short drive to Old Fussen. The entire area around the lake is walkable. The restaurant was equally amazing. The food was good, the service was amazing. We had breakfast each morning, again, gazing at a lake with mountains, and dinner the first night. I would go back, and I wish we stayed longer. Notes: there is no air conditioning, but the weather is beautiful and they give you a fan. We were never uncomfortable. Parking is available, but be careful, the spots are tight. "
