"I wasn't provided with check in instructions, so when I arrived I felt a bit lost. I asked inside Greggs and Subway, they informed me that I had to go to the petrol station to collect my room key, it was smooth from there. Room was clean and tidy. Bathroom needed a little TLC, cracks on the bath, ceiling, marks on the floor. Had free WiFi, TV, and tea / coffee facilities. Bed was comfy and clean. Good value for money. Would stay again as very convenient for short trip"

"Cosy traditional b&b room above the pub itself, surprisingly quiet (never heard a sound) even though the pub below is a very popular place and full every night. Nice breakfast, good evening meal, can’t fault the place. Patrick and the locals were very friendly, we happily chatted amongst them all evening on both nights we stayed. All in all a very good time, would we stay again? Absolutely no problem at all."

Situated just off the high street with secure on site parking, and within walking distance of various eating establishments. Website is easy to use, and informative, covers everything you need to know about the property and local area. Jamie & Gary are fabulous hosts. Highly recommend this establishment."

"The Imperial Hotel is in an excellent position. It is clean and the staff were all helpful. We had a standard room which had a comfortable bed, the bathroom was a disappointment and needs an up Grade. Parking was charged at £6 a night."

"A ten minute walk from the centre. The car park was small and expensive. The property itself is attractive and the room was clean and comfortable, if not particularly spacious. Was given a £7.50 voucher for a drink as I was willing to forego my room being cleaned after the first night. A good range of cocktails in the bar. The bar itself did feel a little like it was taking up a space rather than being a focal point of the ground floor. But it was a pleasant stay."

"The room was a good size, with everything you need. It was a bit tired with the carpet threadbare in places and the bathroom needing a deep clean, paint and fresh mastic. The food in the restaurant was reasonable, but the service was slow and it was clear they were understaffed and getting things wrong."

"I was a little concerned looking at other reviews but honestly, this hotel was Lovely, clean and really comfortable. Very central and staff so helpful. Yes, there are some areas that are a little worn but unless you are really picky, I’m not sure they are enough to cause any concern. Priority for me is cleanliness, which it was, nice team members, which they were and comfortable room for great night sleep. Shower was brilliant and have no complaints at all. Keep on doing all you are doing. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will be back."
