"This was a very elegant, old style hotel. The property is old but it is well maintained - could use some updating in some areas but overall we were very happy with our room and our overnight stay. We were a little disappointed that the restaurant was closed for dinner as we were tired and didn’t want to eat at the bar because it was very busy and noisy. We did have to call several times before getting through on the phone to order room service but once we got through and were directed to order our food through the website our food was delivered quickly and both the food and very good! Unfortunately we had an early flight so we didn’t get to try the breakfast. Complementary airport shuttle service was on time and our driver was very pleasant. Overall, a great, charming, old world style hotel - we only stayed overnight but would definitely stay again if we travel to Miami again."

"This has probably been our 10th time staying at this hotel, which says a lot about how much we enjoy coming back. We were able to check in early, which was definitely a plus. The room was beautiful overall, although the carpet could definitely use a good shampoo cleaning. The staff were friendly and welcoming, as always. The only issue we experienced this time was with the pool area. We ordered pizza for our 4-year-old, and we were told that we couldn’t eat it in the pool section and would have to take it back to our room. We understood the rule, but then noticed other guests eating food in the pool area. When we asked about it, we were told they were eating food purchased from the hotel. I’m not one to assume or accuse anyone of being biased, but it certainly felt like we were being treated differently because we brought in outside food. If outside food isn’t allowed in the pool area, that rule should apply consistently to everyone. We would have preferred to enjoy our pizza by the pool with our child rather than take it back to the room and have the room smell like food."
