"Nice little one night stopover visiting Bude.
Ample parking and easy to find. Straight road into Bude. A little isolated so make sure you buy supplies from Bude on the way back.
A few spiderwebs and bugs in the room when we arrived but only because the window was left open thankfully because it was such a hot day.
Paula the host was very helpful and friendly start to finish. Will stay again if we visit Bude again."

"The property was so quaint with excellent location. The staff was very accommodating and Katie was a great help with our luggage
We were in the attic bedroom on the highest floor. It was very warm in both bedrooms and all they good give us was one small fan and we had to request that. Two fans are necessary for any comfort."

"Clean, modern facilities in a quaint setting. Continental breakfast was very pleasant. The hosts were great folk. So much more an enjoyable experience than a corporate hotel for us."

"Check in was easy, friendly staff, room decor was lovely, clean bedding. Parking was perfect and surroundings are beautiful. Had a beautiful breakfast too. Only negative was quite a few wood louse running round the bathroom, kept slippers on but may put you off if squeamish."
"Lovely hotel. In the centre of Barnstaple and plenty of parking. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We were on a cycling trip on the Tarka Trail ..hotel has very useful indoor rear area with cycle racks to secure your bike during your stay. Fantastic."
"We stayed in the Westbeach apartments for 3 nights during the summer holidays. We had a 3 bed apartment for our family of 4, plus my father in law. The apartment was spacious and really comfortable. Beds were comfy and clean. Kitchen/lounge layout is always a win for us as we love open plan. The balcony from the living room and master bedroom was just lovely. Shower/bathroom was fab with lovely shower. Everything to a fairly high spec. We read the sad story behind the development of the apartments, but amazing that they managed to get them finished! The half finished building next to Westbeach is an absolute eyesore. One night we did see what looked like homeless people sleeping in there, but honestly it didn't bother us and it's no ones fault that it's been left in that state.
It took us quite a while to find the apartment! But that's likely more on us and our navigation skills than anyone else's fault! We parked right by the apartment which was hassle free and fine for our tall campervan. We were right in the hustle and bustle of westward ho and it was lovely. Would use the apartments again- they were lovely, thank you :-)"
"I booked this place for the views, and the beautiful sunset certainly didn't disappoint. The building itself is stunning, and the lounge is fantastic—absolutely full of interesting paintings and knick-knacks to look at.
However, the stay had its downsides. The building is in a bit of poor condition, with visible water and other damages here and there.
The parking lot is also completely unmarked and has an awkward shape, making it feel crowded and a bit hectic to navigate.
As for the single room, it was acceptable but felt a bit like staying in the servant's quarters of a big mansion, especially after seeing the grand lounge. The en-suite was just a tiny, self-contained bathroom unit added to the space. It wasn't the most enjoyable part of the stay, but it did the job."
"I thought the rooms were amazing for the price, the AC was a god send and the pressure in the shower was great. I was extremely happy with the rooms and would gladly visit again.
The course was amazing, really well kept and the staff were really polite and friendly. The only gripe that we had is that the time waiting to order and for the food to come wasn ’t very good.
We ate at Trethorne all three nights and it was the same every night. We even had to approach the bar to order our food on the second night. Larger tables were asked if their food was ok 2 or 3 times but we barely got a look from the waiter/waitresses."
"The accommodation was pleasant and very clean.Helpful staff. The menu for food was very limited and a little strange. The bar had run out of red wine"
"A beautifully clean and welcoming hotel on the beach in Croyde. It’s safe, fantastic amenities and there is something for everyone. The staff are extremely polite, knowledgeable and friendly. It’s hard to find accommodation these days where there is nothing to fault - Outstanding! A perfect little get away."
