The staff was lovely and the room quite comfortable, by Western standards for a Japanese room (although the futons were by far the hardest and most uncomfortable of the three ryokans we visited). "This is one of the best hotels in Nara I would say - perfect location (very close to JR but quiet), nice and helpful staff, free amenities and drip coffee - quality is good, hot spring is small but clean and neat, very clean room, inexpensive when the quality is so high! I am so happy to have stayed here. Would definite come back when I visit Nara again."
