"High-end hotel with stellar room and view. I stayed here because I was doing day trips to Kurashiki and Naoshima Island and this hotel is conveniently connected to the Okayama train station. "

"Very well equipped apt., very quiet area, clean and in good condition. Much larger than a hotel room at the same price level, and very central to everything in the area. Check in is by a system like a love hotel, so very easy but do look for an email with the door codes. Location is right across from the old town area and an easy 10 min. walk from the train station. Lots of choices for restaurants and there are several supers close by and a Lawsons on the corner. Eating in is an option if you are tired of eating out and is very easy. Good way to experience how the typical Japan apt. is. "

"I haven't checked out yet, but so far the hotel has been amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful; the room is large, clean, and comfortable; the bath is big and the shower pressure is strong. The bathroom looks much nicer than the standard tiny unit one most hotels have. They offer plenty of amenities at check in, and have a range of items available for free loans if you need them, e.g. phone chargers. I will definitely be visiting Alpha-1 again. My only criticism is that the bed and pillow are very firm/hard, but that's just personal preference."
