"The shepherds hut I stayed in for one night was so warm and cosy, it was like staying in a giant wendy house. I would have liked face to face contact with the host, but I guess thats a "sign of the times" Beautiful view of the countryside. "

"This is a lovely old building. The rooms are very comfortable and the bed is superb for a good nights sleep. Set just outside town, a short taxi ride in and out, it was very quiet and ample safe parking. The Dinner was very good (Belly pork) and you must try the garlic and cheese bread, it is huge like a pizza and far more than we expected.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, they made our stay a memorable one. Thank you very much.
I would definitely stay here again if we are in the area."

"Hotel is lovely with a great setting on the river, staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was first class, as was the Evening meal, did feel that the tables in the restaurant were a bit dated so a cloth to cover the table would have made it look so much nicer, I appreciate that the building is very old and had I known how noisy it was going to be I would have asked for an upstairs room, you could hear every step because the floorboards were very creaky and none of room doors had a soft close mechanism so there was constant door banging, it would also have been helpful if all guests could be reminded to be considerate by keeping the noise down when returning to there rooms late at night on the information sheet in the room.
Having said all that it is a beautiful place in a great location and I will definitely be returning in a few months.
