"The hotel has been fully refurbished to a very high standard and is located in a quiet area of Salisbury. Yet it is within easy walking distance of the City, plus there is plenty of free parking on site ! The only downside is that Dinner is not available at the hotel. However a free shuttle service is provided into the City Centre. Would definitely recommend the Riverside Hotel for a City break."

"This was my second stay at this hotel and I did notice some changes, some good, some not. My room looked refreshed, but it had no wall decor and seemed unfinished, but immaculately clean. There was nowhere comfortable to sit, but the bed was extremely good to sleep on. The outbuilding in which my room was situated had a large foyer, strangely decorated with two hard chairs and an ironing board. My room heater wouldn't turn on, and the receptionist told me it was centrally controlled and would turn it on. That was fine for the first night, but didn't work on the second. I did not have breakfast on site, but dinner was quite good, as was service and price. In summary, the room price was extraordinarily low and more than compensated for the flaws noted. But I'd rather pay more to have the heat go on."

"Beautiful location but very tired. Great location just outside of Bath but the hotel is very dated and needs a refurb. Rooms are clean but dark wood furniture and bathroom facilities definitely need an update. Breakfast was average in a very old fashioned dining area and buffer layout was amateurish compared with modern hotels. That said, lovely location and great pub at the bottom of the driveway!"

"Stayed here for one night. Room was immaculate with large slipper bath & walk in shower. Plenty of tea & coffee provided & 2 bottles of water. Yhe ki g size bed was really comfortable. The full English breakfast was freshly cooked hot & very tasty. All the staff were very efficient & friendly. Would thoroughly recommend staying here."

"room nicely appointed and up to date classic modern in my view, bed comfy super clean lots of extras in the room beverages tissues hairdryer, iron, ironing board, etc. nicely priced bar and food with seating areas having plenty of room, no available parking which was disappointing; breakfast full of variety. staff very friendly and assistive."
