"This gem of a hotel has history and yet it is incredibly efficient, personable, professional and lovely. Located close enough to the old town, shopping and not too far from going to their sister property, the Taj Falukama Palace for a meal or high tea (which we did). The lobby is elegant, grounds are lovely, the bed comfy and the breakfast buffet will also cook whatever you like. All the staff are terrific, Chef Pradeep and the others great. The Indian food superb and the Italian and Chinese restaurants excellent too. Highly recommend."

"This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. The rooms are extremely old and poorly maintained, which completely ruined the overall experience. The condition of the room was unacceptable — the flooring was broken and uneven, making it uncomfortable and unsafe to even walk around. There was a constant bad smell in the room, which made it very unpleasant to stay in. It felt like the room hadn’t been properly cleaned or aired out in a long time. To make matters worse, the AC was not working properly, which is simply unacceptable, especially when staying in a hotel where basic comfort is expected. Despite paying for the stay, there was no sense of value or comfort at all. Overall, the hotel lacks basic maintenance, cleanliness, and attention to guest comfort. I would strongly not recommend this place to anyone. Definitely not worth the money."
