"This is the best place to stay in Pietermaritzburg! The location is perfect for anyone affiliated with the university - literally across the street. You can have breakfast and supper - both excellent - and the hosts are extremely hospitable and helpful. We arrived with a flat tire, and Gys helped us get a new car the next morning. However, there is a shared kitchen which is available to prepare any other meals…it is not in good condition at all and needs some serious TLC if the space is to be offered for guest use.
