The hotel (and restaurant) has been perfect for our sport trip in the week of Ironman Thun race. We have had the opportunity to put the bikes inside the rooms, to use the bike corner with every tools and pump and, finally, a free shuttle in the morning race, at 5am! About the restaurant, a great cousine with a cute service.

Awesome Hotel

Very clean and comfortable. Excellent bed & bathroom, very good breakfast. Beautiful location on the lake. We had our own car and drove into both towns very quickly, and it's a scenic drive in all directions. I would stay here again.

Firstly A Massive Thanks to the staff especially Atesh, the best receptionist for my whole swiss travel trip. He is fluent in multiple languages. Fun and helpful and even suggested a great restaurant with the reservation service for me and my partner. The room is large and clean. Comfortable bed. Nearby with lots of supermarkets to choose from within 3mins walking to each of them. Breakfast was great in quality but could have more dishes to offer if possible. But the food offered was very very nice indeed. I asked for scambled egg, half boiled egg and fried egg and the cook made it perfect just the way I love it. Overall Highly Recommended!

Loved this little hotel…bus stop right out front to go into Thun but could also walk on the path if you wanted to. Super friendly and helpful owners, breakfast not huge variety but typical European. We ate in the restaurant one evening, and the food was delicious, staff terrific. No elevator if that is an issue, was not for us.

The breakfast was great and it was wonderful to have parking right behind the hotel. Very close to 3 grocery stores and just a 2 minute walk to the lakeside for swimming or a beautiful walk along the lake. Only thing to keep in mind is no elevator at the property. Rooms are also a little small and got quite warm with no AC.

Dreamy location and Italian food!

Fabulous boutique property with amazing Italian restaurant downstairs! I’m still dreaming about it! Bus stop just steps away. 10-minute to Thun. Next to Thun Lake. Loved the big windows looking towards the hills from our room. Enjoying delicious dinners during luscious rainstorms is etched in my memories. I loved it.

Excellent stay owners are very friendly, thoughtful and helpful.Lovely spot just a minute and a half walk to shore of the Lake.The in house restaurant is excellent the staff serving breakfast and in the restaurant look after everyone so well .We had a fantastic week , just one minor point the weather was particularly warm at times a ceiling fan would be welcome. As I say a minor point did not impact on a great stay at the hotel and very enjoyable weeks holiday.Also a mention to the lakeside cafe owned by the hotel , also cheerful friendly staff with great food and drinks.Beautiful spot to sit at peaceful lakeside cafe in the evenings.

Stay Elsewhere in Summer

Not recommended in Summer. Maybe better in Winter. Way overpriced for what you get, even considering the location. The service is almost nonexistent (rarely present), although very friendly when attended. There’s no AC and no fans so the rooms get super hot. It does cool off in the evening but with the windows open you will (a) get noise and cigarette smoke from the restaurant below until 11 or 12, and (b) get a ton of road noise all throughout the nights. There’s no fridge in the rooms, only one tiny one shared by all the guests on the first floor. There’s no coffee maker in the room, only one shared by everyone. There’s no kettle at all so sorry if you prefer tea. The parking can be tricky in the evening when the restaurant is running, and very limited additional parking nearby. The downtown is not within walking distance. The best thing about this hotel is the proximity to the lakeside park across the street which is nice. Overall would have preferred to stay somewhere much nicer in Bern for $100CH less per night.

This wqs my 2nd time staying here, and there is a reason i keep coning back! It is CHARMING botique hotel, with awesome food and wine and people....you can catch the bus for free into town, and the owner is extremely helpful!
