"Resort needs a little tender care a few if the railing were not tight. There was a lot of rust and decks did not seem safe."

"We had an amazing stay here, for one night, as we traversed the Cabot Trail. Staff were awesome and the breakfast was the best we’ve had in a hotel in a long, long time. So many choices, cooked hot and brought to the buffet in a steady stream. A terrific variety of tea, plus coffee. One note: many of the rooms are up one floor and there is no elevator, so if stairs are a consideration for you, ask for a main-floor room. Would 10/10 stay here again!"

"This was everything we hoped it would be. Unique, private, clean, well equipped as it should be and convenient to the North coast for all the beauty and wilderness it has to offer. Everything worked except for the weather which no one can control. When I come back to Cape Breton, I will be booking Blue Bayou again and well in advance since it will soon be a must for thousands of Cabot Trail visitors throughout the season."
