Star Holiday, wrong location.

This is a lovely guesthouse with a clean pool. Very good value for money. We only stayed one night as it’s at the wrong end of town.

Jättesvårt att hitta dit, när vi kom fram var vårat rum utan vatten så vi blev skjutsade till ett helt annat boende. Där fanns inget wifi men dock en pool. Kan inte recensera Star tyvärr.

Friendly family run hotel

Friendly family run place to stay just off the main drag of Hikkaduwa. It's quite a walk from the main beach but no problem for us. The hotel is set in pretty grounds with a small swimming pool. The room was big, comfortable, clean and quiet. Owner and staff were really helpful and friendly.

Great little hotel

Great hotel, staff were helpful and friendly. Great location a short walk from the main road and a short walk to restaurants/shops etc. Breakfast was good and had lunch a few times there too. Swimming pool was lovely and clean. Would stay again.

Very nice hotel with the price.

Was very surprised that with the price we paid got a hotel like Star holiday. Good location, nice owner, clean room, good breakfast, nice pool with small kids pool as well. More you cannot expect.

Good location, room was clean, pool was nice, pretty garden and friendly staff. I couldn't use hot water shower (heater was there, but it didn't work) and Wifi wasn't stable but I enjoyed staying there!

Our stay at Star holiday resort was amazing. The location was beautiful and clean. The pool was great. The owner and he's family were extremely friendly and hospitable. We will definitely recommend this location to all our friends.

Nice, quiet, and convenient

Second time we have stayed at this location. Like it! The grounds are nice and quiet. My favorite part is that it is inexpensive but conveniently located. Just a short walk from the train station (which makes for an easy arrival and also easy day-trips to Galle, Colombo, etc), as well as many restaurants, shops, and the coast. The hotel itself has a few issues of upkeep (a leaky roof in the lobby, and bathroom floors that get wet everywhere after a shower), but nothing that deters me. I will return again and again. The pool is nice, and the morning breakfast is a nice way to start the day!

Great value for money we enjoyed our stay. For a 3 star resort however they should provide bodywash ect in the bathrooms and wifi in the room (only in reception)

プールがあるのが利点

WiFiがホテルレセプションの前でないとまったくアクセスできない。建物が3棟あり、はなれているのにWiFiステーションが1台のみ。ブースターもない。 初日の部屋は洗面台からの水漏れでバスシャワールームが全体に水浸しになるので翌日は強行に抗議して部屋をかえてもらった。 今回のスリランカ旅行今までほとんど10日間で朝食はすべて宿泊費に込みてあったがここは別料金である。しかも無料の他のホテルはクダモノやベーコンもついてくるが、ここにはなし、 単なるジュースと紅茶、パンと卵料理のみ、また他はすべてミネラルウォーターが無料であるがここはなし。浴室にはせっけんもない。 プールがあることが利点のみ。 食事は10%割引となっていたのでチェックアウトの時、朝食代を割り引けと言ったがなかなか応じず、最後に強行に言ったらやっと応じた。ろくでなしホテルの典型。

Nice hotel very central and reasonable.

Extremely happy with the whole experience. Sampath and staff very helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to assist. Everything was clean Aircon and Mosquito nets available, etc. Everything was walking distance, but Tuk Tuks available all the time for £1. We got a bit lazy and used them several times. Highly recommend. Coral gardens 800 metres. Getfresh Restaurant. Best Seafood platters in the area. For 2 people £15. We went there often. Mamas on the beach. Turtles in front of Hikka Tranz Hotel. Long Beach and Mambos is Good for Surfing and Boogie Boarding, a short Tuk Tuk drive. We also had amazing Strawberry Daquiris and cocktails at Top Secret.

Bonne adresse

Agréable séjour. La personne à la réception reste très disponible et accueillante. Belle piscine. Grande terrasse à côté de la chambre. Chambre de bonne taille avec des portants - pratiques. Un peu de manque de pression pour l'eau chaude. Pas d'accessoires anti - moustiques. À 5 minutes à pied de l'arrêt de bus, de la rue principale et de la plage - et 10 mn du coin des tortues.

Jeg bodde her i syv netter fra 30/12- 17 til 5/1 18. Jeg valgte dette hotellet pga beliggenhet og kort vei til dykkesenteret. Jeg har reist en del og opplevd mange hyggelige mennesker, men må ærlig innrømme at den servicen, det smilet, den vennligheten jeg møtte her skal man lete lenge etter. Jeg spiste ute på flere forskjellige plasser, men den chicken & curry jeg fikk servert på hotellet smakte fortreffelig. Ønsker du et hyggelig hotell, litt tilbaketrukket fra travel hovedgate, vennlige mennesker og god mat, ja da kan jeg trygt anbefale dette hotellet. Husk at standarden er ikke europeisk, men rent og ryddig og betjeningen er alltid imøtekommende med et stor smil. Tusen takk for meg - thank you for amazing service and hospitality // Stian Scott
