"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "The hotel’s garden surrounds are stunning, especially in the summer. The room itself was decent, with a comfortable bed and a spacious layout. However, the only downside was the staff at the bar. We ordered a bottle of wine and were given small glasses. We politely requested larger ones but were still given two different sizes. It felt like she wasn’t particularly enjoying her job and there was no friendly interaction during the transaction. On the other hand, the receptionist at reception was lovely, with a warm smile and a helpful attitude."

"Very nice property. Mostly clean but being a cleaner myself I feel the doors and shaving mirror in the room could have done with a dust. Nice balcony, nice comfy bed and linen. Quiet at night. Nice bar area with nice outside area & with good snacks. Good for visits to the Cotswold villages etc. would stay again."

"The a/c was powerful, the room was clean, but I didn't realize from the pictures how very small and spare the room would be. I wouldn't say the pictures were misleading, but I didn't realize that I would have to literally squeeze between the bed and the wall, for example. The TV is mounted very high on the wall, making it uncomfortable to watch from the bed, because if it were mounted lower down, it would be impossible to pass it to reach the second bed. I was also not expecting only one towel per person, with no face cloth or hand towel, and one pillow per person. That said, the location was very convenient for bus trips into the center of Oxford, and there were some good cafes and restaurants nearby -- and an M&S Food. And the beds were very comfortable. We ended up here in part because I was having trouble finding hotels that offered twin beds at all. And I could see coming back even now that I know what to expect. I don't know that prices were especially good, but we visited during Oxford University's open days, which combined with tourist season probably put a premium on accommodations during our visit."
