"Beautiful property with friendly, informative staff."

"Love the old historic downtown hotels, & we certainly were not disappointed. Room was good size & decor & renovations were all time period. 3 bars & a restaurant (could get food at all bars) was so very convenient for dinner/cocktails. Again they were all decorated so cool & historically it was like going back in time. Ice was available at all the bars so we were able to maintain a cooler in the room in lieu of a room fridge. Finally the staff were so helpful & friendly that I thought I was in Disney world at times. Staff went above & beyond to make our stay memorable & comfortable, & to make sure we had everything we needed. From the front desk staff (so friendly & helpful) to the bartenders (full of information as well as skilled at mixed drinks), all made us feel comfortable & special. Loved learning about the history & poking around the haunted corridors. Definitely one of our top 5 overall historic hotels!"
