"Their breakfast was actually surprisingly good. They had your typical waffle maker, but also had eggs and bacon and then your typical hotel cold bar amenities."

"Room was gross, someone literally wiped poop on the wall and it was left there. Crumbs all in the bed frames, weed coming through the vents. People screaming and running in the hallways until 4 am. A guy literally smoking a blunt right outside the front door and the staff says nothing. Yogurt machine? Empty. Pancake machine? Broken. Milk was spoiled. There was a sweet girl at the front desk that worked at night and one elderly gentleman that cleans that’s nice but other than that it was not a great stay. I came here for a hockey tournament and I’m the one that convinced our team to stay here because I always love staying at the Tru but this one was not good. I do have videos and photos to prove what I’m saying if you’d like. Thanks "

"It was a terrible check-in through a kiosk, stocking an agent in India barely can understand what he’s saying and very unprofessional. Will not recommend this property to anybody. I will write a Google review as well."

"Would not stay here again. Linens were very worn, no pool towels, pool was cloudy and cold, hallways smelled like weed."

"I needed an "Early Check-In" the day we stayed. They were able to get me my room (only because there was 1 available) about 6 hours before the normal check in time. (Had oral surgery in the neighborhood and wasn't about to drive 40 miles home, only to come back the next day). Hotel was very clean/neat, friendly. I would definitely stay there again. "

"In the hotels defense, they were doing work to the property and that is understandable. However, the outside of the building had a lot of trash around it and in general it did not feel that clean to us. They are doing a renovation so maybe it will get better. "

"I rented this room for a nice weekend with my nieces and nephew. I specially picked this for the pool and the gym. The gym had one broken treadmill. The pool was also closed and if I would have known this since it was listed as an amenity I would have cancelled and scheduled somewhere else. This was part of my nieces and nephews Christmas present since we live over a hour away and we’re going to an event in Detroit. Not only did the hotel charge my card 24 hours before check in, so I couldn’t cancel after finding out the pool was closed I had to quickly go and spend extra money to keep them busy and find something else to do for our special time together. I will never book through here again. "
