Carolinian Beach Resort

6/10 Okay

"The price and website gave the impression of a very noce resort. The hallways are not well lit and have a musty smell. We had a second floor ocean front room. The floor felt wet all the time. The ceiling in our room had several cracks. The patio reflected the age of the building and the handrail was not very secure. The patio was barely big enough for 2 people and the chairs and table were the cheap plastic that you get at Home Depot. The lock on the door to the patio was difficult and the glass on the door was permanently etched making it difficult to see through. The shower head was corroded and the tub had a large chip in the finish with rust showing through. I wiil say that it was very quiet even with Bike Week noise."

"The view and room were excellent. It was right off the elevator and there was a lot of parking for it being right on the beach. The biggest problem was the shower would go from cold to hot instantly. Im not sure why I did not tell the front desk, but the entire stay my 2 kids and I could not use the shower. Besides it taking a minute to get my deposit back the next morning, it was overall a great stay and will absolutely be back. Thank you for a great experience!"

"This resort was amazing for our little family! I was hesitant to book after seeing some less than good reviews but I am in agreeance with those that say staying at the palms or paradise buildings and avoiding the dunes would likely elevate your experience. The pools and pool areas were clean and beach access was easy! We didn’t have to use our car once after we checked in and were able to walk to so many restaurants and activities nearby even with a 2 and 4 year old. Staff was kind and helpful. Highly recommend!"
