This is a very well maintained, modest hotel in a lovely part of town. The staff is very friendly and accommodating but note that the reception desk closes between 10:30p and 6:30a. The hotel is small and not spectacular but for a simple, straightforward stay in Heidelberg on a charming square (with a farmers market some mornings) it’s really exceptional.

Good location in the new town, close to the bridge to get to the old town, without the crowds of tourists. Looks out onto square with outdoor cafes. Staff friendly and helpful.

Heidelberg wunderbar

Wirklich ein kleiner Geheimtipp. Auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Altstadt, außerhalb des Trubels in einem ruhigen Quartier gegenüber einer kleinen lauschigen Piazza mit Möglichkeit für Drinks und Snacks.

Wir wurden herzlichst empfangen und bekamen sogar ein Getränk angeboten. Uns wurden wertvolle Tipps bezüglich Sehnswürdigkeiten gegeben. Das Zimmer war sauber und gemütlich; man hatte einen schönen Ausblick zum gegenüberliegenden Marktplatz, auf dem eine kleine Kappelle steht. Wir haben uns gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Vom Markt am nächsten Tag hat man nichts gehört, die Fenster sind top isoliert. Abends konnte man auf dem Marktplatz in einer der fancy Bars (auch draußen) gemütlich sitzen und den Tag ausklingen lassen. Wir kommen wieder!

Great new hotel

We booked this hotel while traveling Germany; it was close to downtown. The hotel is nice, the area is nice and lots of options, and only a 20 min walk to the bridge. We ended up with the handicapped room. Growing up with a handicapped mother this was one of the best handicapped bathrooms I had ever seen.
