Easy to self check in on a sunday. Clear guidelines received after booking. Room is spacious and clean. Great coffee tokens. Hotel is a couple min walk away from shopping street.
Great budget hotel. The room was modern and clean. It was also very quiet. Location was good as it’s right outside of the shopping areas and 15 minutes or so to the old town.

We stayed at the Mille Stelle in Heidelberg for one night while making our way from Fussen to Oberwesel. While the hotel doesn't have it's own parking, it wasn't difficult to find a spot on the main street (that was free until 8am) and then the hotel had a voucher you could put in your windshield to pay $10/day for street parking.
When we first walked in the hotel looked a little more economical than we were expecting, but we were only there for one night, so no big deal. We had booked a family room for us and our two teens. When we got to our room it was HUGE. At least 15 foot ceilings, two bedrooms, a dining area, separate kitchen, bathroom with a separate shower room. Basically an apartment.
The furnishings were simple, the beds comfortable, the floor was very creaky (but it is an old building so to be expected). The rear door in the room didn't open but appeared to connect to the staircase for the rest of the hotel. We weren't concerned at all safety-wise, but it was a little noisy in the morning.
The location of the hotel was further from the city center than we would have liked but that was no fault of the hotel. This would be a great place for a family to stay for multiple nights. Especially if you want to cook any of your own meals.
Affordable hotel in quiet & convenient location, near railway station & within walking distance of commercial area. Good variety of local restaurants. Easy self check-in. Highly recommend for short stay.
Stayed in the one person room and it was great! Location is close to old town, check in is by yourself but easy to navigate. And there are luggage storage rooms on every floor to keep luggage after checkout (probs before too but I didn’t need to)
The property was in walkable distance to the Old Town and it was clean and comfortable. The parking was a little tricky - but we lucked out and found a spot in front of the building.

Too tiny , too expensive
The room was very tiny, but clean. It was close to the old area of Heidelberg. There were no tourist brochures or maps. Only plastic chairs in the room. Lobby was devoid of any furniture. It was far too expensive for such a basic room.
Good value-for-money hotel about a 12-minute walk from Heidelberg central station. Check-in was friendly and quick, room compact but clean and comfortable and the WiFi strong. My only gripe was the uncontrollable shower water temperature that would shift between very hot and very cold without touching the gauge.
Excellent accommodation. Very easy self check-in via kiosk, so it was no problems to arrive late. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I did not like the pillows. Excellent location in between the old town and train station. Safe and quiet. Would highly recommend!
The Mille Stelle allowed us to store our bags before the arrival time. The room was small but enough room for us to easily move about. There were dining options and shopping within easy walking distance. Water and tokens for coffee were included for each days stay. On our last night, there were people talking outside at 3am. As a light sleeper, this woke me up. But it was only one night out of three. Would recommend the Hotel Mille Stelle.
Self check in system took a little getting used to.
Room was spacious and spotless.
We had a small problem with the shower which was dealt with quickly but be aware that the front desk is only staffed afternoon and evening. Could be a problem outside those hours.
Located nicely not far from the train station, we were able to store our luggage before official check-in and when the check in was done, it was a self check in, which was very smooth. Room was clean. Came with essentially such as towels, sanitary products, sockets to charge tech items. Also were provided with complimentary hot drink and water.
The hotel is between the train station and the old town. But the location is not too walk-friendly for both the train station (especially carrying the luggage), and the town area. Self-checkin/checkout. All the detailed instructions are left on the room table. But the staff's response was quick after messaging when I have additional question or request.

I liked that it was on a side-street and quiet yest in a convenient location. I would prefer a real person to a check-in machine.
I didn't like that the shower door was broken and apparently a previous guest brought it the the attention of the staff. There was a front desk attendant for a few hours and I reminded him of the issue but there was no effort to fix it. It made it awkward to shower. Additionally, there is a sensible note suggesting the guest reuse the towel, which is commendable yet there were no towel racks to allow said guest to dry the towel. That's plain ridiculous. I showed the attendant. If management is paying attention, they should provide a partial refund.
Nice clean room on a quiet side street half way between the train station and Altstadt for a great price. Includes a free coffee in the morning and there’s a bakery close by. Would definitely stay there again.
